From Addiction to Destiny

It's been such a long time since I've blogged, this was my testamony on Friday last week, may you be mightily blessed by it.

It's been a long time coming

This is a piece I painted for my Nephew this year, going to try some new stuff in the next while so watch this space.

The last 6 months

Hi, I know that this is meant to be a blog but my life has just been so amazingly full and busy, I have travelled for the first time since I was  a little girl, I have been working part time in a community organization and I have felt like I have made a difference in our little community.  I haven't painted in a long time but that is just the nature of where things are at.  I'm looking forward to updating this a little more regularly.

The Land we live in

We are so blessed in NZ to have such amazing greenery and it was so much fun painting a little of piece of NZ.  So good to be inspired again to paint and to enjoy painting, the writing comes directly from the Bible about the land God has created for us to enjoy.

New Art Piece

Ok it's been awhile since I've blogged or posted a painting so I thought I'd do both, it's been a crazy few months but I'm back into the groove of painting and I really want to add it to my blog collection.  I have a few more pieces that I have on the go but it's been a while.  Anyway here the first of many more that I plan to put up.

Watching Mum graduate

It was a very proud moment today when I and my siblings watched my mum graduate with a BA in Social Work, she has been working very hard and at times it seemed impossible, for 6 years of part time study, full time Mum, full time Wife, full time Work with the community it was amazing to see her walk on that stage and receive her cap.  I was so proud of her and look forward to the things she does in the community, I have missed having her around but studying comes with a price and today as she walked on stage it was one of those moments of happiness.  She worked really hard for it and if I ever needed a Social Worker she would be the one I would call.

Whew!

Wow I can't believe this first term has gone already, so much has happened in the last 3 months and already I'm planning what do with the boys this coming holidays, I love the holidays actually going from homeschooling to making lunches in the morning is real change.  We plan to do a bit of walking to keep fit so it looks like we might walk the twin streams paths this holidays, the WCC have made some pretty good maps so that we can walk some good distances and still enjoy it. Looking forward to updating this more reguarly :) with all 3 boys at home lol

The Joy Of Easter

I taught today at my son's school, the previledge was the joy of teaching bible, the kids were facinated with it, I had the joy of teaching them about Easter and the true meaning of it.  I told them about a God who lovingly gave His Son for us and that not only did He die for our sins, He rose victoriously because the grave could not hold Him, I love that part where the two men dressed in white addressed the sorrowful women and said "Why do you seek the living among the dead, He is not here, He has risen" Wow what an awesome statement, the crunch line of the whole Christian message that the Saviour had risen.  I'm looking forward to sharing with my boys the true meaning of Easter and sharing with them the message of the cross and if they're lucky they might even get some chocolate :)

Another Beautiful Morning

Fancy driving back from dropping the boys off to school and discovering that your beautiful wall that you've spent so much time painting has fully been tagged, but thankfully for graffitti guard you can just wipe it all off.  It's a shame because all the time it was just a green wall it hardly got tagged :( I think I need to go on night duty and look out for these wayward teenagers bored out of their tree and find out what's happening.  Well I'm happy that Tag out are coming out to wipe it, they always do a fantastic job and really without them this would be tag city.  Anyway have a great day today, I'm off to do some baking for my friends birthday and for the Family night at School...what a model citizen I am :)

Time to Blog :)

After spending so much time on the wall and all my romantic notions that went with it my inspiration to paint went out the window, but I have missed painting so in the next while I'm going to put some of my ideas on canvas and post them on here, the boys have kept me really busy and of course the normalities of cleaning the house and doing the washing :) the walking school bus has been going really well and the kids are really having a ball with it.  Time to sign off for awhile I'm going to try and keep up this website and let you know what's going on in my life besides Art :)
